Description

The perpetual adoration chapel in Bloomington-Normal, IL at Epiphany Church is a wonderful stopping point when traveling through central Illinois. The twin statues of Mary and a strong St. Joseph are among my favorites, and the classic image of the Resurrection, Jesus coming out of the tomb in victory surrounded by angels is the backdrop behind the Eucharist in the monstrance.

When we approach Jesus in adoration, we always approach the victory of the Cross, Jesus’ death and resurrection. Where O death is your victory, where O death is your sting as the psalmist says.  We approach a living Jesus, hidden in the Eucharist. Lay before Him your woes and joys.
