Description
Immediately when I saw these dzi agate beads I knew I had to make a gold rosary and dedicate it to Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth. They just screamed regality and poise.
Each bead is shaped slightly imperfectly just as are our prayers are imperfect even from one Ave to the next. But Mary takes all of our prayers, cherishing them simply for our goodwill in trying, perfects them, and brings them to the seat of Jesus and there perfectly intercedes for our petitions. This happens every time we pray a rosary.
Do you struggle to stay focused during a rosary? During any prayer? With the busyness of life our minds can’t stop thinking of that thing we should’ve said, that assignment we haven’t started, the friend we have to call, that deadline that’s approaching, that argument we had, those groceries we need to buy, the dirty laundry we have to do, that shower we have to take when we get home. But we were not made for this life; we were made for Heaven. Every decision you make is either bringing you closer to heaven or closer to hell.
Use this rosary to help you remember your destiny in Heaven and to remember that you have a Mother in Mary who wants to take away all your worries. When you get distracted in prayer instead of getting frustrated, tell your distraction to Mary and Jesus. Ask them for help. And then put aside the distraction and focus again. And do it as many times as you need until you are done praying.
Like most of my rosaries, this one is made from stone beads; dzi agate as described above. Because of this, the rosary has a weight to it and retains the colder ambient temperature of a room, which I think really helps you keep focus during prayer. And then as you pray, the rosary gets warm from your body heat!
Each Our Father makes me think of Mary’s crown because of the golden flower bead caps and matte shell pearl beads surrounded by little nuggets of more gold. Combined with the matte gold spacers, the whole rosary shines with warmth.
The crucifix is a 1.5″ gold finish Benedictine crucifix. If you don’t know about the St. Benedict medals you should go look up the history; they’re amazing. Among other things, the medal is a symbol of protection against demons and temptation with the initials of the Latin exorcism inscribed around the outside – “Begone Satan! Never tempt me with your vanities! What you offer me is evil. Drink the poison yourself.” Every time you reach for this rosary, remind yourself of your dignity as children of Christ and of the power of prayer against spiritual attack.
To finish out this golden rosary, the center piece is a beautiful gold plated image of Mary as Our Lady of Grace.

At 16 inches long, with 8mm beads, this rosary is roughly the same size as your standard rosary. The rosary is assembled with 49-strand steel beading wire, crimping beads, and wire protectors, so it is super strong and will last a lifetime of use. While I do strength test every rosary, it is still a handmade piece and prone to human error. So, should it break, simply gather all the beads you can find and contact me and I’ll gladly repair it for you for free sans shipping and the replacement of major beads (if you loose the spacers, don’t even worry about it).
The beading wire stretches slightly as it is used (this is normal – it wears in like good leather boots) so you will still be able to slide the beads along as you pray.
I hope you love this rosary as much as I do!
