The powerful impact of this rosary lies in the stark contrast between the vivid red Our Father beads and the white howlite Hail Mary beads which gave this rosary it’s name; the purity of Christ paired with his sacrifice. Simplicity paired with stunning beauty; this rosary speaks of a quiet regality.
The clear seed beads give a visual differentiation between the Hail Mary beads without drawing attention to themselves. The only added decoration to the rosary are the simple silver spacers around the Our Father beads which stand out by themselves as cathedral-cut red glass with a slight speckling of green-blue glass on the ends.
To accent and accentuate the shape of the OurFather spacers, the center piece of this rosary is an image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus with a beautifully detailed border. Devotion to the Sacred Heart grew from a devotions to the wounds of Christ, and is one of the most widely practiced devotions among Catholics. In the words of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, the saint to whom the devotion was revealed to, “Our Lord Jesus Christ desires that we should, for sanctifying ourselves, glorify His all-loving Heart; for it was His Heart that suffered the most in His Sacred Humanity”.
Have you stopped to contemplate Jesus’ Passion? How God Himself became a human – just like us! – to teach us how to live life to the full and how to be more like himself – like God! – and then he died specifically for you, for me, for your parents and friends, so that we could join him in Heaven and so we could learn how to unite our own pain and suffering and sorrows to his Cross, allowing him to infuse our suffering with redemptive power. The mystery of Jesus’ life takes a lifetime to fully understand. But meditating on his wounds, his heart, and his precious blood, we can slowly but surely come to understand.
On the reverse of the Sacred Heart center piece is an image of the Holy Family; another beautiful devotion to mediating on the childhood of Jesus and the sacredness of family life. Finally, the crucifix is simply embellished, 2-in tall, and silver oxidized.
At 15.5 inches long, with 8mm beads, this rosary is roughly the same size as your standard rosary. The rosary is assembled with 49-strand steel beading wire, crimping beads, and wire protectors, so it is super strong and will last a lifetime of use. While I do strength test every rosary, it is still a handmade piece and prone to human error. So, should it break, simply gather all the beads you can find and contact me and I’ll gladly repair it for you for free sans shipping and the replacement of major beads (if you loose the spacers, don’t even worry about it).
The beading wire stretches slightly as it is used (this is normal – it wears in like good leather boots) so you will still be able to slide the beads along as you pray.
This rosary really is the perfect gift for a dear friend or yourself. The beads are stone and have a weight to them, which I always find helps me really focus when I’m praying. They also take on the ambient temperature of the room- so in winter I usually find my rosary to be a little chilly- just another reminder that you’re praying! But they also quickly warm up from your body heat.
This was the first rosary I designed and I am so excited to share it with you all.
Features of the rosary:
Center piece: 7/8″x5/8″ silver oxidized double-sided Sacred Heart of Jesus and Holy Family medal
Crucifix: 2″x1-1/4″ silver oxidized leaf-flared crucifix
Hail Mary beads: 8mm matte white howlite stone beads
Our Father beads: 8mm red czech glass cathedral shaped beads with silver spacer beads
Spacers: clear czech glass seed beads
With a little bit of practice, you can easily undo/redo the clasp on this rosary bracelet so you can pray it anywhere. The short strand of beads makes it perfect for holding it in the palm of your hand and keeps it from getting caught on anything.
On the bracelet you have the Benedictine Crucifix (protection against demons and temptation in general) and the Miraculous Medal (Mary asked that all wear it).
Stylish, practical, and comfortable, this rosary bracelet has been my go-to rosary for months.
Bracelet measurements – I found the best way to measure my wrist size is to use my phone charger cable because it simulates the thickness of the beads when on the wrist. Wrap the cord around your wrist and make it a comfortable size. Mark (pencil/pen/sharpie) the cord, then measure it flat.
Choose the bracelet size closest to your measurement, rounding down as the beading wire will relax and get larger with constant wear, especially with showering.
7″ – average women’s size. The size in the photos. Fits snugly but not tight.
7.5″ – loose fit on an average wrist size.
8″ – snug fit on a larger wrist/average men’s size.
8.5″ – loose fit on a larger wrist/for men.
Feel free to ask for a specific size if these don’t work! Extra beads are added between the crucifix and clasp and are adjusted to order.
I will gladly accept returns/exchanges especially since this is a new item and with Christmas gifts you are buying for someone else! Contact me by within 30 days after delivery.
