Description
Conceived without sin, remaining sinless her whole life, Mary’s heart is as immaculate as these pure white pearl Our Father beads. But she doesn’t just sit around, perfect and distant. She remained at the foot of the Cross, and perfectly suffered with our Lord in every blow to His sacred body. She remained intimately close to her God and to John – to us.
It has been described many times that Mary suffered as any martyr suffered as she stood below the Cross. We recount the words of Simeon in the temple “and you yourself a sword will pierce” (Luke 2:35), and the seven sorrows of Mary, four of which occur on the road to Calvary.
Our prayers are imperfect even from one Ave to the next. But Mary takes all of our prayers, cherishing them simply for our goodwill in trying, perfects them, and brings them to the seat of Jesus and there perfectly intercedes for our petitions. This happens every time we pray a rosary.
Do you struggle to stay focused during a rosary? During any prayer? With the busyness of life our minds can’t stop thinking of that thing we should’ve said, the friend we have to call, that deadline that’s approaching, that argument we had, those groceries we need to buy, the dirty laundry we have to do, that shower we have to take. But we were not made for this life; we were made for Heaven. Every decision you make is either bringing you closer to heaven or closer to hell.
Remember your destiny in Heaven and remember that you have a Mother in Mary who wants to take away all your worries. When you get distracted in prayer instead of getting frustrated, tell your distraction to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Ask her for help. And then put aside the distraction and focus again. Be at peace with your littleness and trust.

On the heirloom style:
Once I made the first amber rosary with the small-loop wire-wrapped links, I realized I really enjoy the soft repetition of linking bead after bead into a chain. And I absurdly loved how it looked and felt. I finally found a truly heirloom method of rosary making that actually looked good.
Now, you may be thinking, what’s the big deal with this wire wrapping?
So, if you notice on each bead link, there are two wraps between the loop and the bead. This is the wire turning back on itself and making it so the link NEVER opens up. That means no pulling it out of the rosary pouch only to find it in three pieces.
And because of the 22 gauge wire, this means no spontaneous snapping of the link.
It’s a rosary that is literally meant to be heirloom. It should never need to come back to me.
But PLEASE remember that all things can break with excessive use or in extreme situations.
Repairs can be made, and I would be delighted to do so, but as time goes on, I might not have extra beads or I might be gone. So do be gentle and take good care of your rosary.
