Mary perfectly collaborated with the Will of God during her life – she intimately participated in the Redemption of all mankind through her yes to be the mother of Jesus and she continually said yes even unto the moment of Jesus’ death.
And because of this she is given the title of Co-Redemptrix to show her participation in Salvation as the New Eve and to always point to Jesus – the only divine Redeemer. Her title is meaningless without the Redeemer Himself.
And Mary wants to help you learn to unite your sufferings with Jesus and to perfectly participate in the Will of God for your life.
These Hail Mary beads remind me of that. Mary, as the turquoise in the beads is wrapped up and infused with the copper bronzite, just as Mary works in perfect union with the will of God and is infused with His love and very being.
How can you become more like Mary?
What are the habits that are keeping you from being infused with God’s love? What things are pulling you away from prayer and virtue?
Even good things, in excess, can become stumbling blocks to our road toward sainthood. Ask Mary to show you what’s holding you back and teach you how to love God more.
The center piece of this rosary is a copper image of Mary and the Child Jesus, with a simple image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the reverse side. The crucifix is highly detailed and copper as well, standing 2-in tall. The the copper seed beads and copper rosary parts accent the Hail Mary beads without distracting from them, leaving you room to ponder fully on the life of Mary and how she so perfectly guides us to Christ.
The rosary is assembled in what is called the Heirloom Quality style which means it is strung on 19-strand steel beading wire with crimping beads so it is super strong and will last a lifetime of use. While I do strength test every rosary, it is still a handmade piece and prone to human error. So, should it break, simply gather all the beads you can find and contact me and I’ll gladly repair it for you for free sans shipping and the replacement of missing parts; major beads, the crucifix, and the centerpiece.
* Fun Fact: We associate Mary with blue because natural ultramarine blue was an extremely expensive pigment in the Middle Ages and Renaissance and as such was used to emphasize Mary’s royalty. Also, blue was a symbol-packed color in the Old Testament.
